The Strangler by William Landay
I LOVED the book Defending Jacob by William Landay; I'm actually trying to figure out how I can watch the series without having Apple+, but that's another dilemma for another day. It was compelling. It was fast-paced. And the ending - WHOA. It was everything Landay's The Strangler...was not. Because I loved Defending Jacob so much, I was really looking forward to reading another of his books, but this one just fell flat for me. It was anti-climatic. None of the characters really resonated with me. I would probably go so far as to call it boring. I kept waiting (and waiting...and waiting) for the crescendo that was never to come. And then it just kind of abruptly ended. Sigh. Still on the fence about whether or not I want to read Landay's third book...
